Experian QAS today launched email cleansing on its ecommerce site. The new service allows organizations to upload email address files for cleansing to increase the accuracy of email campaigns and raise deliverability rates.

Pearson, the world’s leading learning company, and Condensed Curriculum International (CCI) announce the launch of HealthEd Today, a new program designed to increase access to workforce training in allied health. HealthEd Today technician programs include careers in Pharmacy, Phlebotomy, EKG, Billing and Coding and Medical Administrative Assistant. The program is offered fully online via the Pearson LearningStudio platform.

Students at the University of North Florida now only need one item in their wallet to get around campus: their student ID. Starting on November 2, American Express launched a partnership with the university that connects each student ID to an AmEx prepaid debit account. The accounts are available to any student that wants one. According to Tully Burnett, Associate Director of Auxiliary Services at UNF, the program has only launched at UNF so far. "At UNF we're not afraid to be the first people to do things."

The Council of Independent Colleges (CIC) today released a final report on the work of the CIC Collegiate Learning Assessment (CLA) Consortium, which piloted a way to measure student learning outcomes that is not overly burdensome to colleges and universities. Catalyst for Change: The CIC/CLA Consortium highlights the efforts of 47 independent colleges and universities to make voluntary use of the CLA and describes the challenges faced and “best practices” learned in using assessment results to improve teaching and learning.

Nirvanix today announced that the University of Southern California (USC) will deploy over 8 petabytes of unstructured data on a Nirvanix Private Cloud Storage solution. The Private Cloud will be fully managed as a service by Nirvanix and will include digital content from multiple USC entities, including the USC Shoah Foundation Institute in the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences and the USC Digital Repository, a division of the USC Libraries.
