Sonic Foundry maker of lecture capture, enterprise and event webcasting solutions, celebrated the shipment of Mediasite to its milestone 1000th higher education customer. The Richard Ivey School of Business (Ivey) in Ontario, Canada has selected Mediasite for its new high tech, $110 million business school which is scheduled for completion in late spring 2013.

Modo Labs, a provider of open source content delivery solutions for mobile platforms and devices, today announced rapid adoption of its Kurogo Mobile Platform. Respected universities, including the University of Wisconsin, Aurora University and Boston College, are using Kurogo to easily create rich mobile websites. Available for download, Kurogo is an open source project based on the highly regarded MIT Mobile Framework and can be used to develop mobile websites and native iOS applications.

Higher One, a technology and payment services company focused on higher education, announces that during the fourth quarter of 2011 it added over 25 new OneDisburse Refund Management funds disbursement clients and clients who will be using various modules of the CASHNet suite of payment services. Higher One now serves more than 800 college and university campuses across the U.S. In addition, Higher One renewed contracts with more than 10 existing customers during this timeframe, upholding its near-perfect client retention rate.
