Industry News: Over 20 educational institutions have recently licensed Prey Anti-Theft

Wesleyan University (Connecticut), Lakeshore Technical College (Wisconsin) and 21 other institutions have recently licensed Prey Anti-Theft to protect their mobile devices.

California State University has chosen the EAB Campus student success management system to help improve outcomes for its nearly 500,000 students. It offers predictive analytics, early warnings, communication, case management and direct-to-student applications. CSU will also provide its 23 campuses access to EAB Campus. 

Colorado State University-Global Campus is implementing Ucroo’s web and mobile platform to increase connection, collaboration and communication among students.

Bloomsburg University (Pennsylvania) has partnered with Bell and Howell to simplify package handling and pickup for students with three banks of Cleveron CleverBox smart lockers in the institution’s new mailroom.

The University of Texas at Austin opened a #getfried Fry Cafe in the Dobie Mall food hall in January. A second unit will open in mid-2018 through a separate franchise agreement.

The University of Maryland has teamed with Capital One to develop an innovation lab, new academic courses, a computer science faculty chair and research related to machine learning, data analytics and cybersecurity. Capital One is the first major private sector anchor to join UM’s mixed-use development, Discovery District.

Hillsborough Community College (Florida) has hired CTI to develop new goals and labor market needs with its Terrain-Based Strategy Mapping System. CTI will also identify educational trends, methods and technologies.
