Recommended project management software

University Business, November 2013

I asked digital project managers to share the organizational tools they most use. Microsoft Project was mentioned, as well as some in-house solutions, but two web-based services topped the list:

Teamwork Project Manager: “This web-based project management tool is a life saver because it allows me to document every aspect of a project and it allows my team to see what phase of a project we are at, as well as what tasks need to be taken care of,” says Ashleigh Brymer, project manager at FIU. Basecamp: “We utilize basecamp for online project management, which allows us to share project status and discussions across the office and with clients as needed,” says Marcy Gineris, web content manager at Eastern Mennonite University (VA).Watch my four-minute quick tour of Basecamp.
