There’s no shortage of options for administrators to consider when looking to make decisions from MOOC enrollment data. Here are some ideas suggested by Sam Burgio and Rick Tomlinson, of Jenzabar; Katie Blot and Jarl Jonas, of Blackboard; and Caitlin Garrett, of Rapid Insight:
- Education level completed
- Degrees the student has
- Socioeconomic level
- Whether the student has enrolled in/completed a MOOC already
- Reason for taking the course, such as a career change, gaining skills for current, or personal enrichment
- Work status
- Military background
- Participation level in the course
- Completion of the course
