Steven Combs is taking on the role of chancellor at Ivy Tech Community College’s Columbus campus in Indiana as part of a restructuring of campus-level leadership across the system.
The job of campus president, a position which Combs currently holds, will be phased out, and the college’s Columbus and southeast regions will no longer report to a single, shared chancellor.
Instead, Columbus will be considered a self-sustaining campus with Combs serving as leader.
Combs plans to build a leadership team and find organizational cost-savings through shared services.
