Higher One has achieved Oracle Validated Integration of its CASHNet payment processing suite 2012.2 with Oracle’s PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.0. With this integration, colleges and universities, as well as students and parents, are able to easily process payment anytime, anywhere using the CASHNet payment processing suite. To achieve Oracle Validated Integration, Oracle partners are required to meet a stringent set of requirements that are based on the needs and priorities of the customers.

Kaskaskia College (Ill.) has implemented the Nelnet Tuition Payment Plan to assist students with financial needs. The agreement is on a year-to-year basis with the college. Nelnet will allow students to schedule payments for each semester over a period of time to help increase affordability for them, as well as to reduce uncollected tuition for the college.

Sallie Mae has awarded a total of $90,000 in scholarships to students pursing engineering, nursing, respiratory therapy, or teaching programs at higher ed institutions in six Utah counties. In other news, Sallie Mae has dropped Bank of America Corp., in favor of Barclays to administer its college savings program.
