If 30,000 people attend a football game at Tulane University's proposed on-campus stadium, 70 percent of them are likely to travel by private cars, meaning more than 8,000 parking spaces would be needed to accommodate them, consultants working for Tulane said at a public forum this week.

The University of Wisconsin System has hired an associate vice president for economic development to strengthen relationships between the UW System and businesses statewide, and to connect researchers among the various campuses to drive statewide economic growth, UW System President Kevin Reilly announced Monday.
