Administrators at Grand Rapids Community College say they don’t expect a recently implemented hiring freeze to affect plans to make three-dozen temporary faculty positions permanent during the 2012-13 academic year.

California State University trustees will vote next week on compensation packages for seven campus presidents, including three who would make more than their predecessors because they're slated to receive salary supplements from campus foundations.

For years, the University of Central Arkansas has put off giving professors pay raises while the struggling university tried to climb out of fiscal distress, officials said. Now, just as UCA is on the cusp of recovery, faculty members are starting to think about leaving unless they get pay raises soon.
