The Community College of Vermont will undertake a $4 million expansion project to consolidate its administrative offices and its Montpelier learning center just north of Montpelier. The Vermont State Colleges Board approved the project June 30, one of five capital projects backed for its public state colleges for fiscal year 2010 totaling roughly $29.9 million. The project proposes an expansion of the former Woodbury College campus at 660 Elm St. that will include 12,000 square feet of classroom space. Completion of the addition is still years down the road, however. The project will cost the VSC about $252,000 in principal bond payments and interest each year for the next 30 years.
