Zakahi named provost, VP of academic affairs at Keene State

Keene State College has announced Dr. Walter Zakahi as its new provost and vice president for academic affairs.

Zakahi brings 16 years of academic leadership to his new post at Keene State College. Most recently, he has served as College of Arts and Humanities Dean at Minnesota State University, Mankato for the past four years.

“I am honored to join the leadership team at Keene State College. It became clear to me during the conversations I had leading up to my appointment that Keene State has an incredible future under the direction of President (Anne) Huot. I am thrilled to help move Keene State forward as a leading liberal arts college for the 21st century in partnership with faculty, staff and students,” Zakahi said in the announcement.
