West Virginia state legislators honor the value of a college degree

Marshall University’s Director of Recruitment, Beth Wolfe, said so many people are in some way tied to Marshall, and she enjoyed talking to them and hearing their stories. She said that it is also important to show lawmakers what the universities have to offer to West Virginians.

“Higher education is important to the current and future success of West Virginia,” Wolfe said. “It’s important for the lawmakers to visually be able to see what our university has to offer. There’s a lot of pride for Marshall here, and it shows.”

Representative from West Virginia University were also in attendance at the event.
