A set of business cards line the bases of the two computers inside the Veterans Center at the University of Iowa.
They list contacts who can answer questions about the GI Bill, help student veterans file for disability benefits and provide career counseling.
The center, located on the first floor of the UI Communications Center on Madison Street in downtown Iowa City has been a busy place lately.
It was opened in 2006 to help meet the needs of the growing student veteran population. This year, the number of student veterans on campus grew by 20 percent, to nearly 490 students, following the return of several Iowa troops from overseas.
