Va. Wesleyan's Test-Optional Policy Gives Enrollment A Boost

Ashley Vasquez gets nervous before taking tests. When she applied to colleges, the 18-year-old from Fredericksburg didn’t want to include her SAT scores.

At Virginia Wesleyan, she didn’t have to.

Instead, she submitted a resume that included a 3.9 GPA, plenty of volunteer work and college preparatory courses.

Not only was she accepted, Vasquez received enough scholarships and financial support to pay for her tuition.
