UWM Post Says It May Stop Publishing

The UWM Post, the independent, unofficial, student-run newspaper of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, might temporarily cease publication in November and re-emerge as a student-subsidized publication next fall, the newspaper's editorial board announced this week. The Post - which, according to its website produces 10,000 copies each Monday during the fall and spring semesters and one summer issue - has experienced declining advertising revenue the past three years and is nearly broke, the board said in its Monday edition. "We've reached a point where it would be irresponsible to continue on the same track," a board-written editorial said, adding that the newspaper might be able to continue printing through November.
