University of Wyoming trustees approve new president's contract

Incoming University of Wyoming President Robert Sternberg will receive $542,000 in total annual compensation under a three-year contract approved Tuesday by the school’s board of trustees.

The university will pay Sternberg a base salary of $425,000 a year. His contract also provides for a $42,000 yearly housing allowance and a $75,000 annual contribution to a deferred compensation plan, said school spokesman Chad Baldwin. He will also be provided with a vehicle.
