The University of Texas at Austin said Monday its College of Communication will be renamed after the Moody Foundation donated a $50 million endowment to the school.
It will now be known as the Moody College of Communications.
Based in Galveston, Texas, the Moody Foundation is a philanthropic organization founded in the 1940s by W.L. Moody Jr. and his wife, Libbie Rice Shearn Moody. One of Galveston's best-known tourist attractions, Moody Gardens, also bears their name.
