University Of South Alabama's Moulton Praises Faculty For Weathering Storm

In an upbeat address to faculty Thursday, University of South Alabama President Gordon Moulton credited the faculty with weathering an economic storm that has resulted in fewer salary increases.

“USA has been able to move ahead, despite challenging economic times, due to your commitment and resourcefulness,” Moulton told the faculty during its first meeting in the new Faculty House on campus.
 
He lauded faculty members for their “willingness to work harder and do more with less.”
 
The university, said Moulton, has successfully “addressed students’ needs and enrollment growth without additional personnel.”
