University of the Rockies gets OK for Tabor Center location

University of the Rockies said Tuesday that an accreditation agency has approved its plans to open a classroom location at Tabor Center in downtown Denver.

Colorado Springs-based University of the Rockies is a unit of Bridgepoint Education Inc. (NYSE: BPI), a for-profit college operator based in San Diego.

The school said it was notified by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges that the agency had approved the opening of a facility to be called the Denver Instructional Site at 1201 6th Street, Suite 200.
