University of New Haven suspect had 2,700 rounds of ammo

A student accused of bringing loaded guns to the University of New Haven campus collected newspaper clippings of mass shootings and kept a stash with thousands of rounds of ammunition in his Fairfield, Connecticut home, authorities said.

Police said William Dong's bedroom was padlocked and they found a stash of 2,700 rounds of ammo and newspaper clips about the Aurora, Colorado movie theater shooting inside.

Dong, 22, was arrested earlier Tuesday after allegedly bringing two handguns and a rifle to campus, prompting a lockdown and a building-by-building search for him.
