University Of Minnesota-Crookston Chancellor Announces Retirement

The chancellor of the University of Minnesota-Crookston will retire at the end of the academic year, he announced Tuesday during the “State of the Campus” address.

Charles H. Casey has been UMC chancellor since September 2005 and has held several other leadership roles in the university for almost 35 years, including serving on the Board of Regents and dean and director of the University of Minnesota Extension.

His last day as chancellor will be June 30.

During his Tuesday address, Casey praised the growth of the campus during his tenure and cited the university’s accomplishments, including new programs, enrollment gains and facility investments.
