University Of Iowa President Responds To News That She Has No Contract

University of Iowa President Sally Mason has been working without a contract since Aug. 1, an Iowa Board of Regents document shows.

“Your employment relationship with the Board as President will be considered at-will commencing August 1, 2012,” Regents President Craig Lang said in an Aug. 3 letter to Mason.

The board asked Mason to “reframe and reprioritize” her goals for the upcoming year, the letter said.

One goal is to ensure patient donations at the U of I Hospitals and Clinics would only be solicited by the vice president of medical affairs or the dean of the Carver College of Medicine, according a complete list of goals released by Mason.
