Ulster County CC proposes seventh consecutive tuition hike

Tuition at Ulster County Community College would rise for the seventh consecutive year under a spending plan approved by two key committees of the Ulster County Legislature.

Members of the Legislature’s Ways and Means Committee and its Legislative Programs, Education, and Community Services Committee unanimously approved a proposed $29 million college budget following a public hearing on the plan that drew no public comment.

Tuition at the two-year community college would increase by $100 per year, to $4,230 annually for full-time students. Tuition for part-time students would increase by $10, to $159 per credit.
