UAA New Women's Basketball Coach Resigns

The new women's basketball coach at the University of Alaska Anchorage has resigned while under investigation for allegations of professional misconduct, university officials said Friday.

Nathan Altenhofen submitted his resignation Thursday night, the school said in a release.

"I accepted Altenhofen's resignation without hesitation," UAA athletic director Steve Cobb said in the statement.

Cobb was traveling Friday and not immediately available for comment.
