U Of Utah Adds Environmental Center In Montana

The University of Utah will extend its campus beyond Salt Lake City as it adds the Environmental Humanities Education Center on the southern border of Montana.

The site in Montana’s Centennial Valley will offer a place for students and faculty to explore and learn in nature, a news release said.

"Our aim is to attract students from many disciplines to the rich landscapes of Utah and the Intermountain West, which provide an ideal base for wide-ranging environmental and humanities study," Heidi Camp, assistant dean of the College of Humanities, said of the new center, which will be operated in cooperation with the International Center for Earth Concerns, a nonprofit conservation group.
