Troy University will soon focus its military-related activities into a new center called the Troy for Troops Center.

Dave Barron, a retired U.S. Navy captain, has been appointed Associate Vice Chancellor for Military Affairs by Chancellor Jack Hawkins Jr., to lead the new center.

It will function as a place where online and in-classroom military students can access a variety of services, including financial aid, advisement and counseling.

In addition, the center will support National Guard members, Reservists, veterans and dependents of military members.
