Students studying to become court reporters at Bryan College in Gold River said Wednesday they are afraid their education will be compromised after the campus president announced a restructuring of the program.
The announcement came earlier this week.
About 90 students are taking dictation in order to get state-certified. College officials said the school stopped accepting new students to the program because it plans to phase it out due to low enrollment.
Some of the remaining students said they fear reductions in contact with their teachers could jeopardize their ability to be certified by the state and get jobs as soon as they had hoped.
