Student Pursues Associate Degree At Muskegon Community College To Avoid Debt Trap(Video)

For as long as Brad Hindsley can remember, he's wanted to work in the medical field.

Growing up in Allendale, both his parents worked in health care, and Hendsley was attracted to the solid job prospects and the sense of purpose he saw in the work.

“It was always fascinating to me as a child,” he said.

But when it came time for Hindsley to go to college, he took a path some high school graduates looking to work in health care might not consider: He opted to pursue an associate degree in respiratory therapy instead of a four-year degree.
