Tuition and fees at Richard Stockton College are going up five percent.
The decision by the Board of Trustees means in-state undergraduates will pay $3,858 per semester. The educational and general fee rate will cost $1,686.
The decision comes after Gov. Chris Christie used line-item vetoes to cut funding for higher education programs and tuition aid to students.
Board member Emma Bryne told The Press of Atlantic City the tuition hike reflects the change in state aid, an additional obligation of employee health benefits, and employee salary obligations.
