Sternberg, new University of Wyoming president, says he'll take anti-ivory tower approach

The new president at the University of Wyoming may have gone to Yale University as an undergraduate and later taught there as a professor, but says UW is "an anti-ivory tower university."

Robert Sternberg started his new job last week, replacing Tom Buchanan, who retired after more than a decade in the position at the state's only university.

The school's 24th president, Sternberg says one of his top priorities is for Wyoming's flagship university to have a deep connection to state residents and other institutions of learning.
