Hundreds of alumni, community leaders and political types poured into a grand ballroom over the weekend to celebrate the 50th anniversary of St. Thomas University.
“We’ve held true to our mission over the years. We were dedicated to building a Catholic university with a rich culture and international diversity,” said President Franklyn M. Casale.
The president unveiled new plans for the university, including new student dormitories, a new school of pharmacy and of international business, set to be complete by 2015.
Casale said the school of international business will include a unique concept of teaching and learning, enabling the university to better correspond with businesses worldwide.
