St. Paul's College Heading To Court On Accreditation

St. Paul's College is going to federal court to win its accreditation.

The private, historically black liberal arts college in Lawrenceville said Monday it is challenging the decision by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. The school calls the action by the association "arbitrary" and says it ignores the progress St. Paul's has made in recent months.

Earlier this year, the school said it fell about $300,000 short of the $5 million it hoped to raise to prove its financial stability to the accrediting agency.
