The search is officially on.
Rutgers University has appointed a 24-member committee, hired a $150,000 consulting firm and begun identifying candidates to replace outgoing president Richard McCormick, school officials said today.
Alumni, students, professors and the public have already started sending in suggestions for people they would like to see as the next president of New Jersey’s largest university.
"The search process is on target and on time," said Greg Brown, chair of the committee. "Clearly, there’s a lot of interest."
