A growing number of New Jersey colleges are canceling classes and sending students home as they clean up from Hurricane Sandy.
At Rutgers, classes on the New Brunswick-Piscataway and Newark campuses will not resume until Monday. Classes on the Camden campus will resume Thursday.
"The impact of the storm on the New Brunswick and Newark campuses is much more severe than the damage sustained in Camden," Rutgers officials said in a statement on the school website.
Rutgers is moving some students from New Brunswick dorms to nearby Piscataway residence halls because of damage to New Brunswick's water pumping station, campus officials said.
