Rutgers' iconic grease trucks to bid farewell to College Ave. lot

When Rutgers University students begin returning to campus later this month, the school’s iconic grease trucks will no longer be dishing out gut-busting sandwiches in their familiar spot on College Avenue.

Rutgers officials said they are kicking the trucks and their calorie-laden "fat" sandwiches out of Lot 8 next week to make way for the construction of a student apartment building. Campus administrators are trying to work out a deal to scatter the trucks to various locations in New Brunswick and Piscataway.
