Do the liberal arts still matter on a STEM-focused campus?

Purdue University leaders, higher education experts, students and business owners came together last week to celebrate the College of Liberal Arts’ 50th anniversary and to address the intersection of liberal arts and science, technology, engineering and math.

A panel of stakeholders in higher education and business discussed how the two fields misunderstand each other and how they might better communicate and collaborate — and the value of liberal arts at the West Lafayette campus, which is known for its contributions to science and technology.
