Purdue College of Technology, YMCA start partnership

Science, technology, engineering and math aren’t commonly associated with the YMCA, but that could change in Clark and Floyd counties.

The Purdue College of Technology in New Albany and the YMCA of Southern Indiana have begun a partnership to incorporate STEM subjects into summer programs and other youth programs.

Andrew Takami, director of the Purdue campus off Charlestown Road, said while he’s trying to give his college more exposure in the community, he’s also trying to find ways to meet the needs of other organizations in the area.
