Princeton University president set to meet with town officials for first time

Newly installed Princeton University President Christopher Eisgruber is set to formally meet with town officials for the first time since being appointed to the university’s top spot.

The meeting, scheduled for 7 p.m. on Dec. 2, is billed as “a conversation about current and upcoming university initiatives,” according to a release from the town.

Eisgruber was selected to succeed Shirley Tilghman as president of the university in April and Mayor Liz Lempert said the upcoming meeting between town and gown leadership comes at “a moment where there is tremendous potential for real opportunity.
