Pitt trustees OK preliminary project development for construction

On Tuesday, the Property and Facilities Committee of the University of Pittsburgh's Board of Trustees gave funding approval to preliminary project development for the renovation of two science laboratories on the university's Oakland campus and the construction of a new residence hall on the Pitt-Bradford campus.

The projects being developed include the renovation of 7,500-square-feet of the first floor of the Chevron Science Center to add a general chemistry laboratory and modernize the existing laboratories. The project also will add space for three office suites and an area for instructor training and practice experiments.
