Boston, Mass. – SimpleTuition, Inc., announced today a major upgrade to (, further improving on our free guide through student loan repayment by adding the Obama administration’s newest federal repayment plan, known as Pay As You Earn (PAYE) as well as other additional functionality. PayBackSmarter users already had the ability to compare their repayment options side-by-side in a user-friendly interface. Now current students and recent graduates can see how PAYE may lower their monthly federal student loan bills compared to their existing repayment options like graduated, extended, income-based repayment, as well as consolidation.

Also, we’ve upgraded both our design and our functionality to make PayBackSmarter easier to use and more powerful than ever before. Students and graduates can now upload their MyStudentData file from the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS), making it easy to plug their federal loan information directly into PayBackSmarter. That means our calculations are quickly customized to the individual. Once users analyze their debt in our visual, one-page format, they can now find federal repayment request and deferment forms needed to set their repayment plan into motion. We’ve even included a searchable contact database for federal and private servicers in our application portal so users can easily reach out to their loan providers.

“We are constantly striving to keep ahead of the curve to provide students simple, interactive ways to tackle student debt for free,” said Patrick Kandianis, SimpleTuition’s Co-Founder. “PayBackSmarter empowers borrowers using their own student loan data and assists them in making informed decisions about how to manage those obligations.”

Over 100 colleges and universities are using the product in exit counseling and financial literacy efforts. To see a demonstration of PayBackSmarter, sign up for an upcoming webinar at
