Pacific University VP arrested on sex abuse charges

A top official at Pacific University turned himself in to Washington County deputies Tuesday on accusations of sexual abuse, authorities say.

Michael David Mallery, 48, the Forest Grove institution’s vice president for finance and administration, was indicted by a Washington County grand jury and booked into the county jail on seven counts of first-degree sex abuse, said Sgt. Vance Stimler, a sheriff's spokesman.
