Pa. State System of Higher Education board chairman gives update on chancellor search

The chairman of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education board declined to be interviewed about the status of the search for a new chancellor to oversee the 14 public universities' system.

Instead, board chairman Guido Pichini shared a statement providing an update on the five-month search that has been conducted with the assistance of Greenwood/Asher & Associates Inc. of Miramar Beach, Fla.

Interviews are being conducted this week in Harrisburg with the finalists for the post that paid $327,500 a year to John Cavanaugh who resigned from the post in February.
