At least 16 people have reported that their credit cards might have been compromised at Olympic College.
The victims — 11 students and 4 employees on the Bremerton campus and one student at the Shelton campus — told college security officers that their credit card companies had notified them of suspicious activity, according to Olympic College Vice President of Administration Bruce Riveland.
The college started an internal investigation into the matter last Wednesday, he said.
A few of the victims said their credit card numbers had been used at a Walmart in Texas, Riveland said.
Investigators checked for skimming devices and scanners on the campus but didn't find anything.
