University of Colorado geography professor Elizabeth Dunn said the seminar she teaches was once capped at 25 students. Most recently, it enrolled 108.
And her introductory lectures have grown to more than 400 students, up from about 250 five years ago.
"Students are not getting the quality of education that they're paying for," Dunn said.
Dunn was among those who gathered for a loosely organized Occupy CU teach-in on the Boulder campus Tuesday to bemoan increasing tuition and declining state funding. Because of low attendance, the activists said they'll hold the event again in a couple of weeks.
