Northwestern College in St. Paul, Minn. has selected Ellucian to help manage the institution’s IT functions as well as expand its online programs. The new relationship began June 1.
“We understand the important role that technology plays in the teaching and learning process today, and we’re committed to investing in tools that will ensure the success of our students,” said Northwestern President Alan S. Cureton, Ph.D. “After careful review, we decided that Ellucian is the right company to help us achieve those objectives, and we look forward to their support in aligning our college’s IT with the school’s strategic mission and objectives.”
The contract calls for Ellucian to provide the college with onsite IT management, including a CIO, technical director, an enterprise application director, and technical support liaisons. Remote staff will provide support on an as-needed basis. Technicians will manage the college’s Banner administrative system, monitor its infrastructure, and provide students, faculty, and staff with 24/7 help desk support.
