Nord named Corban University president

Sheldon Nord has become the 10th president of Corban University, replacing Reno Hoff, who served from 1999 to 2013, the university announced last week. Nord was promoted from president-elect at the university, at which he served through the 2012-13 year.

Nord, who officially took the post on July 1, served as the university's Vice President of Admissions from 1990-93 and was a member of the Board of Trustees from 2001 through 2011. His other career positions include president at Universitas Pelita Harapan located in Indonesia, from 2007-10; assistant director of admissions, Indiana University, 1995-96; dean and vice president for student affairs at Oregon Institute of Technology, 1997-2002; dean and vice president for student affairs, Weber State University in Utah), 2002-03; vice president for student affairs, Eastern Oregon University, 2003-07.
