New UIndy President Is Hailed For Developing Innovative Programs

The president of the University of Indianapolis' Board of Trustees calls Robert L. Manuel "bright, intelligent, friendly, and when he talks he's not wasting words."

You also can call Manuel, associate provost and a dean at Georgetown University, president of UIndy, effective in July.

Manuel, 44, has been selected the ninth president in UIndy's 110-year history by a university search committee.

"He's kind of the next generation of administrators," said board President Robert Wingerter.
