New Contract For Alabama A&M President Andrew Hugine Could Be Close

Alabama A&M University President Andrew Hugine could be close to receiving a new contract. The school's board of trustees is set for its June meeting on Friday and atop the agenda is a report from the board's president pro tem, Odysseus Lanier, on the status of contract negotiations with Hugine. The board announced at its February meeting that it would begin negotiations with Hugine about extending his contract. Hugine was hired in June 2009 and his contract, worth almost $400,000 annually, expires in June 2013.
