MSU To Cut Off Alumni School Email Addresses

Michigan State University alumni who use their university email soon will lose their accounts if they haven't been a student in two years.

The university cited the cost of maintaining the accounts for the move.

The move, expected by Aug. 31, will affect more than 117,000 accounts and is rankling alumni.

More than 400 people have contacted MSU officials since the university told alumni late last month, according to David Gift, vice provost for libraries and information technology services.
