More U of M Students Taking 4 Years To Graduate

More University of Minnesota students are graduating in four years at the Twin Cities campus.

The university says 54 percent of students now graduate in four years, up 4 percent over last year. The rate was under 30 percent a decade ago.

Undergraduate education dean Bob McMaster tells Minnesota Public Radio News that the increase can be attributed to more rigorous entry requirements. Also, better academic and financial aid advice is helping students finish in four years.
